I am an abstract artist living in Valencia. I moved here from New Zealand several years ago. I am outgoing and passionate about my art. I love using colour in my work which chimes with my personality.
As a self-taught artist, I had to find my identity in the visual arts world, which I did when I moved to Valencia. I had been married to an artist, a painter, for many years, so never thought of painting myself. But I have sketched for as long as I can remember.
Before moving to Valencia I returned to London and I started visiting art galleries. I found the whole new world of abstract art. At last I felt that I had found a world where I belonged. I would spend hours walking around galleries and being inspired by artists like Marc Chagall, Raoul Dufy and Matisse.
I have become a confident abstract artist and have exhibited my work in Spain. I am currently a resident artist at the Bloom Gallery in Valencia
