For me, art is a way to escape my normal (demanding) daily routine. My art guides me, and not the other way round. I was mainly self taught, and started painting when I moved to Spain 15 years ago. In the Netherlands and Spain I followed quite a lot of workshops and courses to master some techniques and to be inspired by the artists that I love. I like to explore new techniques and styles, but in most of my art you find my personal opinion (unless its a commission). The world moves me, and so does it’s colours. They give soul to my paintings. Most of my paintings are on wood 3d panels, and in either acrylics or oil, or a combination.
